Grasshopper

This funny fellow somehow found himself at the top of our six-foot-plus sunflower and was having a lovely sunbath until I disturbed him.

Ilya and I thought these little guys were so sweet, I hiked back across the beach to get the camcorder. The picture doesn't do them justice at all...

The Rock Star

The bright orange jasper caught my eye, and when I turned it over, there was a sweet little limpet with a six armed star design on it.

Hermit Crab

We found quite a few hermit crabs at the beach today, and loaded up a bucket full just to look at. This guy got to be the "poster crab".
